Embassy of Maldives in UAE: Strengthening Partnership with IRENA for Sustainable Energy Development
As the Embassy of Maldives in UAE, we are pleased to highlight our strong partnership with the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) in promoting the development and use of renewable energy in our country.
Through our collaborative efforts, we have achieved significant progress in:
- Developing a comprehensive renewable energy strategy to increase the use of renewable energy sources, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and improve energy security.
- Implementing solar and wind energy projects.
- Providing capacity-building programs for our officials and technicians to enhance their skills in renewable energy development.
- Securing financing for renewable energy projects through international financial institutions and development banks.
- Facilitating international cooperation between the Maldives and other countries to promote renewable energy development.
In addition to these efforts, our embassy has also been actively involved in promoting sustainable energy development through various initiatives, including:
* Attending workshops and seminars to learn about the significance of renewable energy and its numerous advantages.
* Collaborating with local businesses and industries to promote the adoption of renewable energy technologies.
