President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has officially departed for Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to participate in the World Governments Summit 2024, taking place from February 12 to 14. His visit comes at the invitation of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice-President, Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense of the UAE, as well as the Ruler of Dubai.
This year’s summit is centered around the theme "Shaping Future Governments," bringing together a diverse range of stakeholders, including government officials, international organizations, prominent thinkers, and leaders from the private sector. The agenda focuses on addressing future challenges and equipping the next generation of governments to thrive.
During the summit, President Dr. Muizzu is expected to deliver a significant address and engage in discussions with various dignitaries in attendance. Furthermore, he will also present the keynote address at the Invest Maldives 2024 event scheduled for February 13 in Dubai, aiming to highlight investment opportunities in the Maldives.
